16 TENSES “ENGLISH”
I. PRESENT TENSE

SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE
S + V1 + O/C
I work in the office.

PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE
S + Be + V1 + ing + O/C
She is singing at the zoo.

PRESENT PERFECT TENSE
S + have/has + V3 + O/C
I have painted this house.

PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE
S + have/has + been + Ving
They have been sleeping since ten until now.


II.PAST TENSE

SIMPLE PAST TENSE
S + Be + Was/Were + O/C
We stopped the bus at the bus stop yesterday.

PAST CONTINUOUS TENSE
S + was/were + Ving
We were joking.

PAST PERFECT TENSE
S + had + V3
I had listen the radio when you come here.

PAST PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE
S + Had + Been + Ving + O/Adv
She had been helping me when they went to scool.

III. FUTURE TENSE

SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE
S + Shall/Will + V1 + O/Adv
Hold on. I‘ll get a pen.

FUTURE CONTINUOUS TENSE
S + Shall/Will + Be + Ving + O/Adv
He will be teaching me at eight tomorrow.

FUTURE PERFECT TENSE
S + Shall/Will + Have + V3 + O/Adv
They will be tired when they arrive.

FUTURE PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE
S + Shall/Will + Have Been + Ving + O/Adv
He will be tired when he arrives.


IV. PAST FUTURE TENSE

PAST FUTURE TENSE
S + would + V1
She would not be at school tomorrow.

PAST FUTURE CONTINUOUS TENSE
S + would + be + Ving
We would be having dinner at home yesterday.

PAST FUTURE PERFECT TENSE
S + would + have + V3
She would have be finished to studied if he had not been lazy

PAST FUTURE PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE
